Team Guide-Dogs take on the 20th 947 Cycle Challenge

On Sunday 20 November 2016, a record-breaking 145 cyclists took up the challenge to ride for a purpose and participated as part of Team Guide-Dogs in the 20th 947 Cycle Challenge. Months of training, hard work and dedication came down to a gruelling 94.7 kilometre route which kicked off at the Riversands Commercial Park and took cyclists through some of the most scenic areas in Johannesburg. The route promised to test the perseverance of thousands of registered cyclists and featured a number of challenging hills. With the sun beating down on the cyclists; it surely was no mean feat.

Team Guide-Dog cyclists were greeted with ice cold facecloths and refreshments at the post-race hospitality stand and a welcome sports massage by therapist Nina Joubert provided much-needed relief to tired muscles.
