St. Dunstan’s does it again!

St. Dunstan’s Preparatory School has been a loyal supporter of S A Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind (GDA) since 2002.  During 2016, the School donated an incredible three Bronze Working Dog Sponsorships.  These sponsorships will assist GDA in raising and training Working Dogs.  Teacher Sara-Jayne Cross, who is driving this project on the School’s behalf, confirmed that these additional sponsorships take the school’s total sponsored dogs to 23 – an achievement to be extremely proud of. The presentation of the sponsorship to GDA was done during the School’s final assembly on 24 November 2016 and O’Reilly once again received the award on the Association’s behalf.

This year’s success can be credited to the ongoing efforts of dedicated teachers and learners at the School.  The following initiatives were paramount to the success achieved this year: collection tin donations, prize monies won by three learners in a Lifesaving competition, a Tea Party hosted by the St. Dunstan’s Enviro Club and the Club’s ongoing chapel collections.

We would like to thank Mrs. Cross and all the teachers and learners from St. Dunstan’s Preparatory School for their commitment and for enabling GDA to make a difference in the lives of people who are differently-abled in South Africa.
