Volunteer Sandra Stirnweis is currently working with our Orientation and Mobility students to teach them the skills to work with visually impaired children. She works for the Southern Arizona Association for the Visually Impaired and has over 25 years experience as an Orientation and Mobility Practitioner.

Sandra learnt about our organisation when attending the International Mobility Conference in Canada in 2015. Our representative Salome Ntsoelengoe gave a presentation at the conference and asked for volunteers, who would be willing to come to South Africa, to contact us.

Sandra also donated a large quantity of books, canes and other materials which can be used by our College. Over the course of a month she will be assisting Sibonile School for the visually impaired, as well as other clients and organisations that require assistance with O & M for children.

Thank you so much Sandra for your time, patience and selfless contribution to the work of S A Guide-Dogs and to helping the visually impaired.
