A beautiful winter’s morning promised a great day of golf and growing support for the Association in KZN.

The day was sponsored by Suzuki Umhlanga who generously donated towards GDA.

Fourballs competed for prizes sponsored by Tsogo Sun, Hirsch’s, Golf4U, Moreson Wine as well as other shopping and spa vouchers.

GDA volunteer, Mandy Jorgensen, shares some puppy love during the golf day.

Guide Dog owner, Kalairanie Chetty, had the room in tears at prize giving, as she demonstrated how her guide dog, Edwin, gave her independence by walking her around obstacles. The interaction with some beautiful Labrador Retriever puppies was the cherry on top of a fantastic golfing day.

Ladies golf captain, Sue Ellis, addresses the field of 88 players who participated in the first S A Guide-Dogs Ladies Golf Day.

“Our Ladies Golf Day would not have been possible without the prize sponsors, the volunteers and the team at Umhlali Country Club. This was our first exclusive lady’s day and it has been a tremendous success. We are already looking forward to our next day in 2018,” said Marketing Manager in KZN, Ane Roux.
