High Tea at the Mount Nelson

S A Guide-Dogs Cape Town celebrated the 60th Anniversary of our Association on Saturday, 16 November at the world renowned Mount Nelson Hotel with an exquisite High Tea.

Guide Dog and Service Dog owners, puppy raisers and donors joined in the celebrations and thoroughly enjoyed the morning with angelic singing performances by Guide Dog owners, Cairie Van Der Vyver and Michelle Botha.  Ashley Hayden, Master of Ceremonies, did an outstanding job with her huge heart and kindhearted personality. It was such a special treat for everyone to meet Ashley and have her be a part of the memorable event.

Guide Dog Owner, Jeremy Opperman gave a wonderful presentation and kept the guests entertained with his humorous stories. It was also a great opportunity for everyone to meet the chairman, Dave Parker and his lovely wife Bev as well as the interim Executive Director, Morag Cardoso.

The High Tea was superb and had many guests going up for seconds – world class food!

We were proud to hand out awards and certificates to Guide Dog and Service Dog owners, volunteers, donors and puppy raisers for their dedication and service to S A Guide-Dogs.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who could attend and celebrate this very special occasion with us.
