It is said that music has the ability to change the world and bring together people from different walks of life. This certainly rang true for our second annual Acoustic Music Festival which was held on Saturday, 30 September 2017. The event aimed at providing a platform to bring together members of the community and businesses in the area, whilst raising funds in aid of S A Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind.
Although the week leading up to the event had seen a drop in daytime temperatures and a chance of rain, the weather held up and festival goers could enjoy a sunny day out, lazing in the shade at the Gladys Evans Training Centre situated in Paulshof.
Well-known South African artists Majozi, Georgetown, The Motherland and Zé ensured that the mood was set for a fantastic event. A variety of local artisan vendors offered gourmet eats which included delicate pastries, rustic pizzas, pulled brisket and waffles with unique toppings. Two local craft beer breweries joined in the fun and kept festival goers hydrated.
We would like to thank all who came out in support of S A Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind. We look forward to hosting the event again next year!
