Dear Diary
It is hard to imagine how time has flown and that so much has happened.
My four foot friend, precious Vanilla the essence of my independence and freedom, is with me for exactly three weeks and four days. Our bond strengthens daily, but still has the brittleness of fine bone china and for this reason, should be handled with care.
As our confident daily steps lead us into the future, more of her personality unfolds. I guess existentialists would call it her essence.
Thought she is curious? That she certainly is. However this morning curiosity took a twist and revealed a mischievous side. While taking my bath I found a guest next to the tub, who, casually dropped her latest find, a sock into the water.
Naturally I obliged and washed the sock otherwise she would not play with it.
An hour later, we made our short but treacherous way to work, a country walk, with a car passing on the righthand side as Vanilla hugged the lefthand side of the road and kept me safe.
Together, we arrived at my workplace and as I settled at my desk the day unfurled its petals of opportunity.
