SAGA visit numerous schools annually to conduct talks and explain to the learners all about guide dogs and the work we do in serving the blind and visually impaired citizens of our country. Often we are incorporated into the particular schools fundraising program which is invaluable to SAGA and provides an alternate income source. Should you wish for us to visit your school please contact pieter@guidedog.org.za or noel@guidedog.org.za and we will gladly arrange for an onsite visit visit with a guide dog or you may decide to visit our training center as a school outing which is very popular.
Below is a recent awareness visit done to the St Stithians College in Johannesburg were 750 learners were addressed and learnt all about guide dogs , their training and a brief discussion around blindness and the work we do as a non profit organisation. A big thank you to St Stithians for hosting guide dogs and compliments to the boys for their impeccable behavior!

A visit to Kyalami Preparatory School. We arrived in style thanks to NAC (National Airways Corporation) who kindly flew us to the school in a Bell 430!

Below is a recent visit to Bellavista School in Birdhaven. The grade 0 to grade 2 learners have already sold 90 guide dog toy puppies as there commitment to social responsibility. Well done to all the children and supporters from Bellavista School! Their aim is to raise enough money to sponsor a guide dog. SAGA would like to thank Bellavista School for inviting us to visit and speak to the learners and spread the word about guide dogs and the service that these amazing dogs provide blind and visually impaired citizens of our country.
